Brabalibintawan

An exhausting day.

Spent 5k in minutes.

An appointment of my dog with her vet that cost 1.5k.

An early buying at the grocery store for 3.5k+.

But aside from the expenses, the highlight of the day is the workout-like carrying of the heavy grocery bags. It feels like I've spent every energy I have for the bags.

After unpacking the stuff and placing them in all corners of the house, my brother and I got a quick rest. We're both drained. And I think, we're not completely refueled yet. :

Third and Final dinner of the trio for February

Just had my dinner with Jen and Lloyd, the last for this month. It's payback on Lloyd. :)) Pizza Hut Bistro was that?

Now, we agreed that we'll have our recess for our Friday dinners. We'll be continuing it on March 19. We also had to draw lots of the sequencing of the person who's gonna be charged with the bill.

Jen, got her wish to be the first; I coming second and Lloyd again for the third week.

I'm finding this really absurd, yet, I really enjoy talking with these crazy pips. See yah on March guys!

Life

Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives.

Keep thinking what other's thinking?

If nobody ever worried about what was in other people's heads, we'd all be 33 percent more effective in out lives and on our jobs.

World Pyro Olympics (Pyromusical)

Just got home from the SM Mall of Asia where the event was held.

United Kingdom and China displayed their art.

UK's performance's spectacular. Irony on China's since everyone knows that fireworks started from their country. I just couldn't believe how boring China's was.

Reading a book after the short adrenaline rush

I've cleaned the porch with scattered poop and bathe the dog at 9 in the evening (felt bad for it, but she stinks). Now I'm tired and seeking for an entertainment, wanted to watch a movie or a series, Chuck, yet don't know where to watch the next episode, I don't even have any copy of the new movies I haven't watched yet; made me to grab a dusty book in my bed side table.

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, the book I was reading since last year. Didn't have time to finish it, trying it now. I was struck on these lines on the first chapter I read today.

"Did they recognize their true abilities? Did they have a sense of their own flaws? Were they realistic about how others viewed them?" Chapter 24, A Recovering Jerk.

Erwin Merioles

An office-mate of mine tried to experiment on JavaScript and made a simple calculator menu. I've been so pesky on checking and finding errors on his application that pushed him to make this FAQ.

Notice the red box? Here's what it says:

Nice isn't it? >:)

Starry Starry Night

Everytime I hear this, I'm always thinking that this is an emo song in a country music melody. :D

Starry, starry night.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.

Starry, starry night.
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze,
Swirling clouds in violet haze,
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.
Colors changing hue, morning field of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand.

Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.

For they could not love you,
But still your love was true.
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do.
But I could have told you, Vincent,
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you.

Starry, starry night.
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless head on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the strangers that you've met,
The ragged men in the ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow.

Now I think I know what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they're not listening still.
Perhaps they never will...

A No Output day

This might be the most unproductive day I had in the office.

It started when I came into the office and tried to open my computer. AVR's not working, fuse busted. I tried to remove the plugs from the AVR and tried to plug one directly into the outlet. Luckily, it's just my CPU that has sparked.

That's great! I have to ask the systems admin to get a new unit + have my drive reformatted.

In short, my time's wasted for waiting for the fixes and installing software; for 8 hours.

Official Receipt

Always ask for a receipt when you do purchases and/or payments; whether of from a grocery store or a government agency.

This serves as an acknowledgment of the received money in exchange of the products or services.

But why is it so important to ask for this?

Major reason would be about the revenues. Taxes are included in our purchases, thus, payments include money that should belong to the government funds.

If no receipt is issued on a transaction, it means that there are no purchases made, and if there are no purchases, there are no taxes, no taxes no input on the national funds.

And the minor reason for asking for the receipts maybe for exchanges/returning of products or refunds from the purchase.

Receipts are also important on budgeting household, personal or business expenses.

Usage of the receipts varies, but all of them are important whether or not you know its purpose; just ask for it.

One Friday Night (Feb 12, 2010)

Dinner with Jen and Lloyd at Joey Pepperoni.

Without any plans, I made it to Makati at past eight in the evening. Imagine, just having an online chat with a friend, and at approximately half an hour I was in their place.

I remember, I missed my dinner in the office and ran to the streets without any extra money in my pocket, unknowing I was to pay for our bill. These two crazy brats, I keep on wondering if they really are my friends; there's this doubt feel. haha..

Gateway Mall

I was very doubtful in believing that there are male prostitutes selling their services inside this mall, not until I've witnessed this in front of my eyes, I think.

I was at the Cineplex gazing around the posters of the movies when I came across with a man staring at me. I checked his face if he's someone familiar. He smiled at me and say hi; my brain's having a buffer overflow, thinking I might know him and it's very impolite if I don't even remember an event where we have met.

But then he asked, "May kasama ka?". Now, I doubt; I don't even recognize that voice. He's a stranger.

"May inaantay ka?"

This is now freaking me out so I just left the area.

(I was on time for the 6 PM call time, but have to wait for my friends.)

In trouble

Haha... Crazy night. I didn't know that I was in the middle of a fight. Two goons almost stabbed each other with a knife. And literally, I was in the space between them.

Lucky I am that there are people shouting for help, or else, I'm unarmed dead, so dead...

How do you spell HTML?

Do you need to memorize the HTML tags?

What's the purpose of the search engines? or the tutorial sites (guide)?

If you memorized HTML tags, what's your advantage to those who do not?

Is the markup language really necessary to be explored before you do web applications?

It's like saying, you need to memorize the "C libraries".

Think again.

Frangible

3 days of black animals crossing the street; 2 cats and a dog.
2 nights of howling of a dog.
Freaky, creepy.
